Kendall Jenner may have a new man! She was spotted courtside at a Los Angeles Lakers game cheering on D’Angelo Russell, and of course dating rumors immediately sparked! Find out more about D’Angelo below!
It’s been a while since we have seen Kendall Jenner, 19, on the dating scene, but she seemed awfully happy to be watching NBA star D’Angelo Russell, 19, and his Los Angeles Lakers team take on the Dallas Mavericks on Nov. 1. In fact, since reportedly meeting D’Angelo over the summer, Kendall has been to more than just one game to watch her rumored new crush! So who is this man that had Kendall all googly eyed? We have five quick facts about D’Angelo right here!
1. He is fresh out of college…but only one year of it.
D’Angelo attended Ohio State University where he played basketball, but it wasn’t long before he was snatched up by a professional team. He was named Big Ten Freshman of the Year before being selected by the Lakers in the second overall pick of the 2015 NBA Draft, which meant that he only has one year of college under his belt.
2. He has a patented hashtag on social media.
If you thought computers were the only things that said “Loading…,” think again — that’s D’Angelo’s signature phrase! He uses the hashtag #Loading… in practically every Instagram post, and his social media handles are even Dloading! D’Angelo explained the meaning behind the mysterious phrase, according to ElevenWarriors.com. “I’m loading to success. Like, my dreams are right around the corner. You set goals for yourself, and once you reach that dream or that goal, you set a new goal, and you’ll forever be loading…”
3. He’s lived in four different regions of the United States.
D’Angelo grew up in Louisville, Kentucky, where he attended high school for one year before transferring to a school in Montverde, Florida, to continue his budding basketball career. He then moved to the midwest for his time at Ohio State, and now resides in California as he plays with the Lakers. Who knows where he’ll end up next!
4. He has already been on the cover of Sports Illustrated.
Just before his first season with the Lakers got started, D’Angelo graced the cover of the famed sports publication as the “student” to “mentor” Kobe Bryant for SI‘s NBA Preview issue. Not a bad way to kickstart your professional basketball career!
5. He plays two positions for the Lakers.
As if D’Angelo doesn’t seem talented enough being a 19-year-old in the NBA, he can play twopositions! He is listed as a Guard on NBA.com because he plays both point guard and shooting guard, which are crucial to the team’s scoring. Basically, it’s D’Angelo’s job to make baskets — no wonder Kendall loves watching him so much!
